Hunters Moon

Hosted by Jo

Hunter's Moon is positioned on a powerful ley line, in the constellation of Sagittarius within the Glastonbury Zodiac. Historically, Pennard Hill is understood to be the place where King Arthur’s army kept its horses for their natural protection, as it was surrounded by water when the Isle of Avalon was truly an island. The stream below the property is still known locally as Witches Dip, from the days of sorcery and witchcraft.

The house personifies this mystical atmosphere, and a spirit that still attracts so many people to this part of the world. The organic feel of the property evokes an otherworldly air, projected from the realm of a fairytale. With its origins as a tiny cottage with an open fireplace dating back to 1580, it has been extended to the east and west over the years to become a truly extraordinary and unique destination.

Sleeping 8-10 maximum in 4 en-suite bedrooms with two 'Z' beds, Hunter's Moon is set in an acre of land, within woodlands. This unique secluded property has been designed in keeping with its unique location near Glastonbury. It provides everything you need (and so much more) to relax, enjoy and celebrate life and special occasions in style. With so many local rural delights right on the doorstep and very close by, it is in magical surroundings with so much mystique to match.

Our Guest Reviews

Perfection! Cannot speak too highly of this beautiful property and the care of the hosts. Every last detail is taken care of. We will never forget our week here before Christmas 2021 - watching Christmas films in the cinema pod, taking hot tubs in the frosty evenings and sitting in the snug by the fire. This place really does have a very special atmosphere - totally relaxing and enveloping.

We held an intimate retreat at Hunters Moon and it was just spectacular, the space was perfect in everyway and everyone absolutely loved it! The hosts were incredible they provided a range of healthy snacks (as requested) for the entire duration of our stay.

The grounds and gardens are just magical, there is something to be seen in every corner and it is an exploration in itself. The cinema pod with the twinkling stars in the ceiling just transported us all to another world which is exactly what we needed.

I can not thank Jo & Peter enough for being so accommodating and attentive! Beautiful, beautiful space and we all feel blessed to have spent time there!

Absolutely stunning property. We stayed with a group of friends (8 adults in total) to celebrate a special birthday and felt very at home here. We spotted loads of wildlife (sadly no badgers!), took trips to Glastonbury Tor, the local pub (the Lion, which was fab food), chilled in the hot tub and cinema room and cosied up in front of the fire. A really fabulous long weekend. Thank you.
